Job Description:

The estimator will provide excellent customer service to customers throughout the repair process, and provide planning, coordination and control of the repair Blue print.  Develop Damage Analysis skills through mentor, training, and coaching with regard to Blueprinting, negotiation and repair techniques.


Job Responsibilities:

Inspect all vehicles and maintain 100% accuracy with each vehicle
Write detailed Blueprints of collision repair procedures.
Manage scheduled and unscheduled repair orders to maximize shop performance
Assist CSMs with estimating/supplements as necessary.
Participate in daily production meeting
Share critical information with CSMs and technicians to facilitate repairs
Assist in arbitration of judgment time between insurance agents, technicians, managers, and CSMs.
Assist Manager with loading shop to maximize efficiency.
Make sure all total loss vehicles are handled appropriately.
Keep in-process vehicles organized on the lot.
Maintain parts ordering and procedures consistent with Operational Process Guidelines
Assist with administration of vehicle check-in and vehicle delivery.
Maintain clean and orderly production & parts area consistent with Operational Process
Maintain 100% compliance with DRP and other insurance procedures.
Interact with all levels of shop team members, management, insurance and vendors.
                       May be required to attend various approved training outside the repair center.                            Other projects as assigned by Management




Excellent customer service and communication skills.  Knowledge of Windows computer software packages (preferably Microsoft Office and Outlook).  Knowledge of DRP.  Ability to interact with all levels of personnel in the shop and Corporate.  Flexibility to handle multiple projects at once

(Degrees, Certifications, Languages):

Licensed Physical Damage Appraiser in PA.
Microsoft Office and Outlook training; customer service experience/training; I-CAR training; Shop management system training

Physical Demands:

Extensive time on shop floor and physical work.

Work Environment:

May be required to inspect vehicles outdoors in inclement weather.  May be exposed to high levels of dust and noise in the body shop.  Protective equipment is provided.  All team members are expected to comply with all safety programs and wear protective equipment provided.  Extended periods of data entry and exposure to computer monitors.
